Ann Arbor Ski Club

President's Letter

September 23, 2022

Hello Members and Friends,

First, allow me to thank the members of the club who formed teams within the Ski Trip Committee to put together a wide array of interesting Winter 2023 trips including to Alpine and Nordic skiing in British Columbia, California, Colorado, and Michigan.  Plus, more Nordic skiing in Ontario and the U.P.  Seven different trips to a lot of excitement.

At this point in our ski season we are nearing, as we do each year, certain deadlines where decisions have to be made on how many.  How many seats to retain for trips that aren't full.  Or rooms.  More often when we reach a deadline seats and rooms get released back to our travel agent. So, it becomes a question of how many missed out.

We don't want anyone to miss out, so consider claiming your spot on one of these trips at your earliest opportunity, perhaps at the September 29th General Meeting.

Also, please note the imminent deadline for claiming a room at the Stokely Creek Lodge.  Rooms that trip leaders have reserved for A2SC are lost on October 1 and this lodge fills up fast.  It is unlikely you will get a second chance if you let this deadline pass without acting.  For details continue reading below or visit the A2SC Ski Trip Calendar.

If you have any questions, please ask either me, a trip leader, or a committee chair.  And continue reading below for an overview of A2SC ski trip opportunities that are still available.  For details go to a2skiclub.org.

Think snow!

Lisa Salisbury, President
Ann Arbor Ski Club

PS. Please note that the 25-SEP Two Wheel Motor City biking event has been rescheduled for 9-OCT.  Weather predictions indicate a bad day for riding this coming Sunday.
