Halloween Party - FUBAR & Hoodang @ Yellow Barn

Hoodang returns to the Yellow Barn! Founded in 2003, Ann Arbor-based, genre-busting Hoodang has been tapping into that gleaming vein of sonic gold that travels back into the early part of the last century. Drawing inspiration from the tradition of English murder ballads, hardcore country music, and careful-you’ll-cut-yourself electric blues, the band plays a rich amalgam of strikingly original American roots music that is alternately pensive and seriously rocking.

F.U.B.A.R. embraces British Invasion, psychedelic, soul, and folk rolk. The Yardbird’s “Over Under Sideways Down,” The Parliaments’ “Testify,” Love’s “Alone Again Or,” and The Byrds’ “Girl With No Name” are representative. If you don’t mind stock eclectic, you’ll like FUBAR.
