Get in on a private tour of the latest winter sports gear and clothing offered by Ann Arbor's largest supplier of skiing and outdoor recreation products, Recreational Equipment Incorporated, that is REI. Representatives from REI will use their meeting facility (it's in the back near the restrooms) to host an educational presentation on skis, accessories, and suitable clothing introducing the latest features and explaining differences among products. Only for A2SC and WSTC members. If you haven't already, renew your membership so you can attend. We demand answers. REI supplies them. Come hear them. REI will work from this agenda... The benefits of layering outdoor clothing, highlighting items that make-up good layering components. The brand name cross-county skis and boots that REI stocks. Several lines of brand name snowshoes featuring new binding systems. Accessories such as fanny packs, goggles, and helmets for down-hillers. There will be opportunity for spontaneity. That is, if an individual has a particular question or interest, it will be accommodated. And, If you are an REI member, bring your cross-county skis for a free waxing. Soon, expect REI to have equipment for waxing downhill skis. Finally, an REI membership ($20 for lifetime) includes lift ticket discounts at certain resorts.
